Our Story

Our Story

Did you know the owner at Rugged Fleet Service is a 3rd generation owner/operator? It started back in the mid 50s, when Josh’s grandfather, Thomas Chase Sr, started the company Chase Trucking. He lived in Robbinsdale, MN and started the gravel business.

Who we are

Josh’s Father, Samuel Chase Sr, was Thomas Sr's youngest son out of the 5 kids. There were 3 boys and 2 girls. The 3 brothers—Tom Jr, Dave, and Sam—all decided to go into the trucking industry. Thomas Sr passed away July 27, 1973. Later on, Samuel Sr (Josh’s Dad) started Chase Trucking in earlier 2000’s

Meet Josh

Josh saw more in the company, so he decided it was time to go grow his dreams. He started the company Rugged Companies LLC out of his home in Princeton, MN. He was adding more drivers on to the fleet, but Josh noticed that he was helping the drivers fix their repairs on the truck and trailers at his home in Princeton. His shop at home was just not big enough to fit a semi in it. He had a mindset to open a repair shop; he set his goal and was looking for the right chunk of land to build on. He found his land back in 2016 in Milaca, MN and slowly worked hard for what was needed for the next step to build.

The Business

The building started in 2017/2018. Rugged Fleet Service LLC opened its doors to drivers, neighbors, and surrounding areas. We are a family business going on 3 generations, We want to treat our valuable customers as our family and make sure they are safe.
